Welcome.

The Cemeteries and Crematoria Association of Western Australia (CCAWA)  represents cemetery and crematoria authorities across Western Australia. Founded in 1993, its primary goals are to:

  • Act as a platform for open communication between cemetery authorities, fostering collaboration and the exchange of ideas.
  • Share knowledge, strategies, and innovations to improve the management and operation of cemeteries and crematoria in Western Australia.
  • Work towards improving the quality and efficiency of services provided by cemeteries and crematoria to the community.

The association serves as a resource for members, supporting them in operational challenges. It also promotes ethical and respectful management of burial and cremation practices in the region.

The annual CCAWA Seminar and AGM titles “People Caring For People” is fast approaching and these are the final two weeks to register your attendance to join the event. Attached is a copy of the full day program on Friday the 17th April together with details of the workshop the Board has planned for Thursday afternoon the 16th April. The event is once again being held at the Ingot Hotel in Belmont due to the success of it last year and ease of transport for those flying or driving.

The Ingot Hotel is close to the Perth CBD and major attractions should you wish to extend your stay and please remember to book your accommodation directly with the hotel as early as possible as the special room rates are only available for limited time.

The President of CCAWA together with the Board of Directors look forward to welcoming you to the seminar and for those who have already registered, thank you! If you feel that you would like to attend or have staff that would benefit from the educational sessions, please register them now, if you gain one helpful piece of information from the seminar it will be worth your while to register.
