Welcome.
The Cemeteries and Crematoria Association of Western Australia (CCAWA) represents cemetery and crematoria authorities across Western Australia. Founded in 1993, its primary goals are to:
- Act as a platform for open communication between cemetery authorities, fostering collaboration and the exchange of ideas.
- Share knowledge, strategies, and innovations to improve the management and operation of cemeteries and crematoria in Western Australia.
- Work towards improving the quality and efficiency of services provided by cemeteries and crematoria to the community.
The association serves as a resource for members, supporting them in operational challenges. It also promotes ethical and respectful management of burial and cremation practices in the region.

Save the Date: 2026 Cemeteries & Crematoria Association Seminar – 17 April 2026
We’re excited to share that the Board is in the final stages of planning the 2026 seminar! The venue is confirmed at the Ingot Hotel in Belmont, and this year’s theme is “People Caring for People.” Our focus will be on how we can better support our customers during life’s most challenging moments.
Every year, we aim to bring you a mix of operational and administrative topics based on your feedback. This seminar is a fantastic opportunity to connect with cemetery operators from across the state, meet our suppliers, and discover the latest innovations in the industry.
We’re also planning a special workshop on Thursday, 16th, ahead of the seminar. This session will dive into documents, procedures, and statutory requirements—perfect for those wanting to strengthen their knowledge or new to the industry.
Keep an eye out for upcoming Communiqués, and watch for updates from our Secretary, Anne, at ccawasecretary@gmail.com. We can’t wait to see you there!
