The 2015 Cemeteries and Crematoria Association of WA Seminar was held in Bunbury on Friday 20 March 2015.

With a theme ‘Office to Grave and Everything In Between’, the seminar considered everything from planning 100 years into the future, to dealing with a grieving family, or from legislative rules and regulations to ensuring the safety of staff as they work ‘six feet under’. The topics covered gave delegates a fantastic range of useful information relevant for administrative staff to operational workers.

The 2015 Peter MacLean Award, proudly sponsored by Arrow Bronze, was awarded to Alison Wakeford, from the Shire of Murray. Alison will now be funded to attend the 2015 ACCA Annual Conference in Tasmania in October 2015. Arrow Bronze also provides a perpetual trophy and an individual winner’s commemorative trophy.   There was an outstanding field of applications for the award, reflecting the depth of the experience in the WA cemetery community.
