On the day preceding the 2025 CCAWA Seminar, delegates were offered the opportunity to tour the Metropolitan Cemetery Board’s Pinnaroo Valley Memorial Park. MCB staff graciously dedicated their time to prepare for the visit and conducted a guided tour of the park, which included a demonstration of grave shoring techniques.”

It has become something of a tradition for the Board to organise icebreaker activities during the Thursday evening dinner prior to the seminar. Our Secretary, Anne Dixon, takes great delight in curating fun and engaging activities that help delegates connect, get to know one another, and foster valuable networking opportunities.”

The 2025 CCAWA Seminar, themed Mindfulness Matters, was officially opened by the Hon. Hannah Beazley MLA, Minister for Local Government; Disability Services; Volunteering; Youth; and the Gascoyne. Throughout the day, delegates engaged with a diverse range of speakers and enjoyed insightful presentations from our major sponsors, all contributing to a program that encouraged reflection, awareness, and meaningful connection

Adding to the joy, an impromptu birthday celebration for one of the hotel’s fabulous staff members brought smiles all around and perfectly captured the spirit of the evening.
